I have a question regarding Matt. Is Matt Cosman the same as Matt Inkboy? Or are they different? Matt Inkboy seems to be from the '30s/'40s. But he's also in Alex's Odd Life, so he might be a time traveler. But he said once that he's a cartoon. So he might not even be an actual human. Matt Cosman, on the other hand, is from the 2000s. We know this from Chloe's Blog. But he still has parts of his appearance reminiscent of Matt Inkboy, like his pie-shaped pupils. This same question also applies to Chloe.

Matt is an absolutely confusing person (historically) to wrap your head around, so sit tight. This is a long one.
Matt Inkboy (Alex's Odd Life) is based on a lot of now-early ideas for Matt. He was originally a straight-up 1930s toon, who was also apparently capable of moving between Alex's universe and his own, which resembled a black-and-white 1930s cartoon. On top of that, this never gets brought up ever but the first segment in The Weird Arcade, where Alex and Matt are discussing the latter's "posts", is entirely based on a blog Kaie was running for Matt back then; which has sadly been lost to time.
Today's Matt Cosman, on the other hand, is entirely unlike his early counterpart. He can't move between universes, and he's certainly not a 1930's cartoon star; he's just a regular person like everyone else in the town. Why he still has his "pie-slice" pupils despite this is never really explained. Crazy Compositions itself takes place in the present day; Chloe's Blog only "takes place" in the early 2000's because it's mostly based on another blog created for Pementa from Mugman.
Whew, that was a mouthful. Really, the only "canonical" version of Matt now is the one seen in Crazy Compositions; Alex's Odd Life, Ditzy Ditties, and Chloe's Blog aren't part of that canon. Pretty much all of what I said about Matt also applies to Chloe.
